Dr. Jiao, Research Assistant Professor of the Department of Sport, Physical Education and Health, and the System Health Lab at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), has diverse research interests in the area of exercise physiology and intervention, healthy aging, and rehabilitation. She has established research ties with a few researchers locally and overseas, and vigorously engaged in research projects in the aspect of elderly’s physical activity, cognitive health and exercise intervention. These projects were mainly funded by the General Research Fund (GRF) and Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust (HKJCCT). She has also been involved in some Innovation and Technology Funded projects as a researcher to develop and evaluate functional/rehabilitative devices. She has published ~30 journal articles and 4 granted patents. Prior to joining HKBU, she obtained her Ph.D. at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and M.Sc. at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Currently, she is a part-time lecturer and examiner in the Certificate of Fitness Instruction course at the School of Continuing Education of HKBU, and serves as a member of the Society of Chinese Scholars on Exercise Physiology and Fitness.
