Dr. Yu is currently affiliated with the three departments: MMIS (Business), SPEH (Social Sciences), and Physics (Science). He is the executive director of MRI facilities and a member of System Health Lab, one of the six Interdisciplinary Research Labs at HKBU. His research focuses on understanding the neuropsychological mechanisms underlying reward-based decision making and social cognition, using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), electroencephalogram (EEG), and other neuroscience methods. He has published over 150 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, with over 5500 citations and an H index of 43. He was listed among the world’s top 2% of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines. Dr. Yu accepts PhD students from diverse backgrounds, such as psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and sports science
