With each game, he continued to learn and improve, ultimately achieving the grand slam of his fencing career.   Cheung Ka Long is a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Physical Education and Recreation Management. His victory fills us with pride and inspires us to pursue our goals. We eagerly anticipate his future success in the Asian Games fencing team competition.   (Photot Source: HK01, SF&OC)     2023.08.20 20230814_155945 [Fudan Tournament 2023] Congratulations to the women's basketball team for winning the Champion in the tournament Congratulations to the women's basketball team for winning the Champion title in the Fudan Tournament 2023, they have  won all 5 matches in the Tournament and beat the HKU team 55:53 in the final championship match.    The women's division has 7 teams from HK, 2 teams from Macau, 1 team from Taiwan and the Fudan team. She is a support team member for Hong Kong's delegation to Chengdu World University Games. She is excited to be present in Hangzhou to support and encourage Hong Kong student-athletes at various competition venues. She is thrilled to witness the historic achievements of this year's delegation, especially when HKBU student-athlete Cheung Ka Long won two gold medals in fencing for the Hong Kong team. Miss Mak noted that the greatest reward in promoting sports is witnessing athletes strive for excellence internationally and demonstrate team spirit. Hopefully, in the next edition of the World University Games in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany, HKBU will have even more athletes selected for the delegation to showcase their talents again. 2023.08.07 ASS [31st FISU WUSG] Ms Ng Ka Shun, Assunta (SPEH lecturer) led badminton team won the first-ever bronze medal in the Men's Singles We are incredibly honoured to introduce Ms Ng Ka Shun, Assunta, the Department of Physical Education, Sports and Health lecturer at Hong Kong Baptist University, at this year's World University Games. She participated in this grand event as the coach of the badminton team, leading the team to a "breakthrough from zero" by winning the first-ever bronze medal in the men's singles event at the Universiade. This demonstrates her ability to nurture talent and showcases her coaching skills and fighting spirit. She not only teaches techniques but also cultivates the determination and sportsmanship of the team. Her achievements inspire the next generation to pursue their dreams, embodying the fighting spirit required in elite sports. Her story is a testament to the life-changing power of sports!
